About Lauren

I developed a love for horses growing up next to a horse farm in Fairport, New York. At the age of seven, after moving to Texas, I began taking lessons, and bought my first horse, Rex, at the age of 15. 16 years later, we are still together. I began photography as a hobby, after finding my mother's camera and equipment and quickly fell in love. While studying English at Southern Methodist University, I took a hiatus from competitive horseback riding to row four years as a scholarship athlete for SMU. After graduating in 2014, I moved to Boston, MA to continue training and soon discovered my passion for medicine. In May 2016, I returned to Texas to complete my prerequisites for medical school and continue growing as an artist. I started medical school in 2020 and am applying for General Surgery Residency for the 2024 match.
